Melvin is a graduate from NTU with a PhD in Organic Chemistry, working on projects that involves the use of organic synthesis to accomplish the synthesis of natural products. During his days as an undergraduate student, Melvin have been providing h2 chemistry for JC students (Since 2010).
He began his research career in NTU in 2011, with a NTU research scholaship. After his 4 years research in NTU, he joined the private sector in 2015. In 2016, Melvin decided to take the big leap into full time teaching to share with pre-university the chemical industry as well as the art of chemistry.
Melvin has received the Teaching Assistant Award in 2014. While at work on his PhD, melvin continued to give tution for h2 chemistry for students from NYJC, SRJC, TJC, CJC, TPJC, MJC, RJC, DHS, ACJC, SAJC Melvin currently conduct lecture at a tertiary institute and teaches on the weekend to the lucky bunch of students. Melvin is a certified member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (UK) and member of American Chemical Society
